Body Trimming Method

Body hair seems to get out of control as we get older. If you consider yourself to have an excessive amount of hair and are considering manscaping, trimming is the best method to start with. The gradual removal of the bulk of body hair makes the transition minimal.

Hair may be trimmed in different lengths to achieve a natural look by using a guard from one to four to enhance the peaks and valleys depending on the body type. Those that want an extreme style may opt for trimming without a guard. It is the closest hair removal to the skin without the use of a razor. The biggest advantage in using the trimming method is not feeling the initial hair growth, which happens with shaving.

The modern man typically trims at home. However, to obtain an even trim and a smooth transition between body parts, working with a professional is ideal. During your private session we are able to consult what the best options are for your personal style.

Body Shaving Method

Shaving is removing the hair at the skin surface with a razor. I work with different blades and handles depending on the thickness of the hair, the part of the body, and the stage of the hair growth. The main advantage in shaving is the immediate smoothness of the skin.

Waxing Method

Waxing is the most invasive form of hair removal. It is the method that will remove the hair for the longest amount of time because the hair is removed at the root.

After waxing the hair regrowth is between four to six weeks. The factors that affect how fast the hair grows back are the initial hair thickness, the amount of hair in the area, and the condition of the hair at the time of removal.

Preparation: For best results, 24 hours before your appointment shower with a body scrub. This will enable the wax to adhere to the hair easily and durably.

If the hair is extremely long and untidy, please DO NOT TRIM. Since hair grows in several stages, if you trim prior to waxing, there could be a chance that the hair will be too short or too strong. This will cause the hair to break or not come out at all. After working with hundreds of clients, I am proficient in preparing the hair for the best results.

If you are undecided on the method or style, we can discuss which options are best for you before your session starts.

The Manscaping Guide to Pubic Hair Removal

Manscaping the pubic hair is a trend that is here to stay. If you’re thinking about trimming it up, you are not alone.

According to a U.S. study, just over half of men surveyed (National Institute of Health) reported regular pubic grooming.

There is no need to feel self-conscious about why you do it neither. Men groom the hedges for numerous reasons. Using a professional that is well-versed in safety, maintenance, and aftercare is the first step.

Pubic Hair Designs

The type of pubic hair design varies depending on personal preference and level of maintenance.

  • Briefs: the man’s version of the bikini style. This involves removing all hair that physically appears outside of the briefs.
  • Lion’s mane: removing all the hair from the testes, the base of the penis, and the perineum. The hair on the pubic bone may be trimmed, but not completely removed. Visually this style will make the penis appear larger.
  • Trimmed: trimming the hair with a guard to a shorter length so as to have full coverage but with shorter hair. This is a great option for the individual that does not want to have bare skin, only minimal hair length.
  • Minimalist: shaving all the hair above the penis while leaving the hair on the testes and the base of the penis.
  • Horizontal landing strip: shaving the hair on the sides of the pubic bone. The hair around the penis and the testes will not be removed. Visually this style gives the appearance of a landing strip just above the penis.
  • Bare: all the hair is completely removed from the genital area. This style may also extend to the anal area.
